As 2010 draws itself slowly into its final month I cannot help (as I start to do at this time every year) reflecting on the last 12 months. For me like a lot of people 2010 has been a testing one. Politics and economics aside it just seems to have been a hard one to get through. My thoughts are with one of my friends in particular, who not only lost his mum this year to cancer, but also his job. His year puts my complaints in to perspective.
As so much we do in life, there is always someone somewhere that has it worse than you. Sure there are folks living the life of Riley (whoever this Riley guy is) and we always seem to moan and grumble about these people, at times I know I do. I think we all should try and keep our complaints in perspective as much as we can. If you can feed yourself and your family, you all have your health and somewhere to sleep that is the main thing. Most of us go through lean times, and it is in these lean times we find ourselves in today. All I really know is the sun comes up, the sun sets and lean times come to an end.
People can be mean, but that doesn't mean you have to be. Treat each other well, love and laugh as much as you can and don't let the bastards grind you down.
Love,
